If there's one thing MTB Berkhamsted can organise it's a piss-up in a brewery, especially if said venue is home to our title sponsor. With the trails wet and horrible it didn't take much persuading to accept the invitation from Tring Brewery to come and visit and skip the tiresome business of riding bikes to go straight to the main reason for going out - sinking a few ales.

Now in a shiny new home on the edge of the town, Tring Brewery proves bikes and beer are indeed a winning combination, the Cotic Soul propped up in the corner of the brewery underlining the fact the guys here enjoy both activities. Knowing a bunch of pissheads when they see them, the sponsorship deal was an obvious move!

The tour itself was interesting - if a little chilly - but certainly held the attention - just look at those serious faces listening to Tring Brewery's Ben explaining how they work their magic. A few of us had been before but it was fascinating nonetheless. So fascinating to one of our party that he was outed as something of a Tring Brewery groupie - step up Rich III!

 

Things perked up with the arrival of the fish'n'chips and the presentation of our sponsorship cheque - compulsory grip and grin photo bagged - and then continued sampling of the brewery's wares followed before a rowdy bus ride back to Berko and … continued sampling of the brewery's wares. Cheers!
